You Promised Me Once

Contributed by bruised_hands08 on Sunday, 21st November 2004 @ 04:15:49 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

You were always so perfect to me.
Cherishing you instantly. No Second Chances.
I never saw the hate in those eyes,
that lied to me constantly.
I promised you I'd Always try...
But slowly you were leaving me.
All the pain you caused.
I tried not to remember.
You promised me once.
You would never make me cry again.
You promised me once.
We would be forever.
But tears still fall from these eyes.
And you are still my only.
You will always be my everything.
You will always be my broken wings.
I'm holding my last breath... deep within me. Waiting.
I call your name... you don't respond.
Tired of this game, still holding on.

Hmmm, you're basically calling out to a love that I guess has died or all but died. You've done some beautiful things with words here, but only the person you're speaking to will truly understand.

How sad and honest.
