|
Soft patter rain; clear running stream;
Gentle soft fern still as a dream;
Clear little droplet cling tight to blade;
Pale yellow flowers dappling the glade.
Smokey gray clouds that hang overhead
Sing me to sleep on a soft mossy bed.
The tree leaves sigh with the wind blowing cool,
It ripples the surface of a small glassy pool.
The silence is calming; the rain clears my mind;
Content in my solitude, my thoughts unwind.
I think of the past, I dream of the days
That are yet to come. Life is a maze,
With only one start and only one end,
With corners that curve, twist, spin, and bend.
With no way of knowing what lies up next,
With knowledge to guide you, trying your best.
I think of the past, I dream other days
Knowing that somehow, somewhere, someway
My heart will be peaceful, my path straight and clear
With little of worry, with nothing to fear.
The dew starts to lift; the clouds melt away,
The sun shines bright on a new springtime day.
