"Mama" was one of the first words that I learned to say.
And you were with me from the very first day.
You kissed my hurts when I was small,
when I was afraid you helped me to stand tall.
You taught me to know good from bad
you helped to cheer me when I was sad.
You carried me beneath your heart
and between us is a tie that forever binds.
And for always I am your beloved child
and momma, I thank God your were mine.
