Lonely and cold
All by myself
This is so unkind
I wish I were somewhere else
If only into another place I could go
Where I could escape the troubles at home
Away I would run into this world
A place where I could feel loved
Maybe a simple warmth in the air
A smile on someone's face
To show that they care
Being loved must be nice
By someone
Anyone at all
If I knew how it felt
I probably would be happy
But I don't so I'm lonely

nice write, could use a little revamping, but maybe that just because im not the most appreciative of free verse poetry, but i do like the subject of this poem, i long to be loved by another instead of longing to be loved back by the one i love, i like the write none the less

Good stuff... don't change a thing.
I know the feeling as well. |
