In a velvet cape and satin feathered wings

Contributed by Doriens_Picture on Saturday, 20th November 2004 @ 10:42:20 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

In a room

Four walls painted purple

A bed of roses is undone

Two lovers are intertwined

In a velvet cape and satin feathered wings

Finding whole universes in each others eyes

Eyes filled with determination to escape it all

With kisses that take all breathe away

Dressed in each others arms

They find that way

In a sweet unity and bound by more than just lust

Breaking all concepts of love and finding something new

Nothing is as warm as that

Both so beautiful and full of color

Both two parts of one soul

They are perfect there

With petals in hair and lips to lips

He carried her in his arms and holds her high

Then brings her down close to him

And they kiss again just as sweetly as before

She leads him back to the bed and he follows

She lies down and he’s on top

These two lovers are you and I
