Mr. Sand: Testimony by the Roadside

Contributed by Lee on Saturday, 20th November 2004 @ 08:27:43 PM in AEST
Topic: mystical

Dreams, they say,
Are made of sand
Here,
I cup some in my hand...

There's a young lad
Resting
On some rocks
By the roadside

Then there is a pale hand
Holding out an Upright thumb
This young lad happens
To know the Holy Spirit

A car approaches
It seems colorless
But the young lad knows
That it does not come to bring hope
This car is riding down
The Highway of Lost Dreams

"Hey, kid! Wanna ride?"
"No, thanks. I'm going the other Way.
Would you like to know how to get there?"
....

I know of a time of many highways
When men were choosing different paths

There was much sand spread amongst them
Every speck like an inch, an inkling of a dream to be formed

Then I met this young guy
He's a killer by the roadside

He helps men rid themselves of their want for sin
In that way, he is a killer

And he waits by the roadside of life
So that he may help transform men before they are confronted by the Judgement

I laid down in my palace of sand
And he laid down on those rocks by the roadside

I am not like this creature
I merely lend my services for the payment of each individual's time

This creature offers spiritual time with the Holy Lamb of God
I allow this because somewhere in my existence I think I have a heart
