Her sad end

Contributed by RavenL on Saturday, 20th November 2004 @ 10:12:15 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

She hears the darkness calling
It’s ringing in her ears
Drops of red are falling,
She welcomes all her fears.

In her hand she holds a knife,
Shining brightly in the sun.
In the end there is no strife,
Because this battle is done.

She may not be the winner,
But at least there is an end.
She cares for herself the sinner,
Who only needed a friend.

While she sits, the darkness comes,
Like a shadow through the night.
In the corner she waits and hums,
Filled with pain and fright.

The end is near,
she can feel it.
The shadows will leer,
Her soul they will steal it.

Death is gripping tighter,
Like a noose around her neck.
She used to be a fighter,
Before she turned into a wreck.

No time left to say goodbye,
But would they really care?
It was her time to fly,
Fly far far away from there.
