The price for her tears...

Contributed by Unheard_Mute on Friday, 19th November 2004 @ 09:07:03 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

I'm tired, so tired of all this bull,
A black eye every week, bruise every day,
Poor girl, she doesn't know she loves a tool,
It wasn't her fault, now he has to pay.
Don't say I'm wrong, I was driven to it,
Couldn't take another tear on my shirt,
He had his chance, and didn't care a bit,
She had her turn, now he's got to get hurt.
Her own man hit her, for nothing at all,
Now I am the one that will purge his sin,
The floor met him at a four-story fall,
I was just trying to protect her skin.
He was a fool, and he needed to die,
His life was the price for making you cry...

powerful and emotional. harrassment, has anyone ever not gone through it? there are better ways to solve things than violence against yourself and against others though...::doesnt want to get on your bad side and be in a building higher than one story::

A very moving and emotionally painful poem about a subject that is so difficult to write about. You are brave to face it with so much strength. Thank you.
