A Child's Prayer

Contributed by metalmouth666 on Friday, 22nd November 2002 @ 03:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

A child whisper's, Can you hear it?
A child's Prayer, Do you feel it?
The child whisper's, Do you know it?
What the child says, Now that she's told it?

She pray's to the gods, What's she's asking?
Do you not know, The love she's lacking?

The lost tears, A child's prayer.
Which roll down her face, What does she fear?
The lost tears, A child's prayer.
They roll down her face, What does she fear?
[Break]

The child hides herself, Behind scary masks.
Doesn't want to show the world, Who she really is.
Why she shed's tears, That's the question we ask.
A child's prayer, And the question's last.

Word's from a child, That's the child's prayer.
Sweet word's of the innocent, The stories that they tell.

The lost tears, A child's prayer.
Which roll down her face, What does she fear?
The lost tears, A child's prayer.
They roll down her face, What does she fear?
[Break]

With each tear she shed's, Each noise a shivering wake.
Sliding on a thin sheet of ice, life's the dangerous lake.
Up in her room, upon her window seal.
Tear stains on her cheeks, she cries out to the moon.

"Take me far away, take me out of here.
Take me away from this life, Away from what I fear."

The lost tears, A child's prayer.
Which roll down her face, What does she fear?
The lost tears, A child's prayer.
They roll down her face, What does she fear?
[Break]

The lost tears, A child's prayer.
Which roll down her face, What does she fear?
The lost tears, A child's prayer.
They roll down her face, What does she fear?
[Break]

Wow that was really good. Also something to think about. So many child who aren't loved. I could relate. Nicely written.
