Oh, does beauty really lie skin deep
Under our flesh it lingers and creeps
I have never seen beauty on the inside
how can you when under flesh it hides?
Or do you mean in metaphorical way
a common yet meaningless cliche?
For I'd much rather see it in a plastic face
botox and implants that take the place
of this beauty you claim to be
festering in the core of me
Pamela Anderson makes me hot
I'd rather have the boobs she's got
then a prettiness that sleeps inside of me
I want something you all can envy and see!
Paris Hilton is a nothing less than goddess
to be that skinny would ease the stress
that is placed on me everyday
to be a particular and certain way
Carmen Electra makes my man sweat
If only I had her butt he would never regret
being monogamous with his wife
and having to look inside for the rest of his life
to see my inner beauty and sexiness
a confidence boost, I do confess...
In this society of silicon and and "Tan in a Can"
I want to be the hottest woman for my man
so I am going to get plastic surgery
and you won't even recognize me
I'll take J-Lo's behind and Anniston's face
having Britney's abs would be no disgrace
Oh and that new star Misha, from the O.C
to have her legs, a pleasure it would be!
So please doc make me beautifully fake
this beauty on the inside crap I can no longer take!
I don't care if half of me is not real
I don't care if my lips, boobs, and face I will no longer feel
yes, I know beauty is pain
and now I am insanely vain
Thank you TV and Media for making me see,
that the beauty that is inside of me,
means absolutely nothing in this society!

Hey sweet one! Wow touching ... Are you really getting plastic surgery? I think you are very beautiful inside and out.I guess looks turn out to made a big deal in society, but ones who judge probably just don't have the confidence boost that you have. You have many things along with your outer beauty, such as your kind heart, willing soul, wonderful personality, and remember that your son makes you even more beautiful. I'm not saying I'm pretty because that is a lie, but you have so much to show on the inside and out. Great poem! Love ya!!! |

I know it does, I don't really want to change, I love myself. I am just trying to show that society is being taken over by plastic. |

I think girls that are real are more beautiful
than ones that are all air-brushed and silicon
enhanced. Anyways a good poem that tells of
the shallowness of society. I enjoyed it.

I must agree with Joel on this one.
It is almost funny in a way and I hope you didn't mean it seriously. |
