perhaps you might ask
why I'm feeling this way
what makes me so bitter
why it's different today
so I guess I will tell you
I've had time to think
I've seen something new
every time when I blink
all haze has been cleared
the big picture drawn
the pieces come together
and all confusion is gone
time with you was wasted
I wish I'd had a clue
but now it's clear to me
I meant nothing to you
we were doomed from the start
but I was blind to the signs
I was just too naive
to read between the lines
I've decided to turn my back
ties to you, I must sever
yet I know, despite all that
these wounds will ooze forever
