If the song has ended
And the dance is over
Then why am I still holding on...?
I've looked at where I've been
I'm looking at where I am
And I'm wondering where I'm going...?
Cause there's something missing... in my life
I don't know where or when I lost it or even if I ever had it
I just know... there's something missing...
I've got family and friends
Who love me this I know
Even with all the things I've said and done
I know they love me unconditional so
Just like the Good Book says we should
Still there's something missing... in my life
I just can't put my finger on it at this time
If the song has truly ended
And the dance is finally over
Then why am I still holding on...?
Am I just looking for the something missing... in my life?

if you have friends and family you need no more. We all feel as if there is something missing. But we have everything we could ever need and more. People, but me especially, keep holding on 'when the song ends and the dance is truly over' we're trying to hold on to memories and things in the past. so when we can no longer hold on, that leaves a void |
