There are no more ghosts.
They left.
Gone since June,
and none too soon.
There are no more shadows.
The light scared them,
and sent them home,
to their little shadow mommies.
I looked under my bed,
just the other day.
And, wouldn't you know it,
boogie was gone,
without a word to say.
There goes the tooth fairy,
and the easter bunny,
and Santa Claus
with his big fat tummy,
gone like the goblins
and the ghouls,
none are spared,
from this fool.
Jesus doesn't live here anymore,
left with all those that I adore,
gone with age and time,
never to return,
forever more.
