Hello, Death...

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Thursday, 18th November 2004 @ 03:26:14 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Drink it down,
Hold it back...
Whatever you do,
Don't let you black soul shine too bright...
Wrap your lies and secrets tightly in your fist,
Never open your hand for all to see...
Keep it inside,
Bury it in a tomb of Deceptions...
Everyday is a new mask,
Happy, caring, blissful,
But never show your true face...
Silent poet,
Weaving morbid tales of the pain dwelling deep within...
Ridding it by self infliction,
Observing, enthralled by it all...
A crimson river flowing down the length of your mutilated arm,
Creating a great pool of scarlet depression...
Wanting anything but life,
Yearning for the voices to stop their endless torture...
The deed is almost complete,
The past flashes before your eyes,
However, nothing is their to make you cease the blood flow...
With open arms you greet Death,
Comforting, gentle Fatality,
A true friend,
Always there for you in the end...
And in this, your place of dying,
You curse all who have hurt you, violated you, broken you...
With a small smile,
Darkness embracing your world,
You cry your last tear, end your merciless pain...
Fear not the Darkness,
For it is your companion...
And with a sigh of release,
You are free,
Unrestrained from those heavy chains that have held you down for so long...

Good-bye world,
Hello, Death...

More like suicidal.

This is miscategorized.

However well I think this is expressed, I cannot relate to this kind of suffering. As ever, having mistakenly read a suicidal poem, I wish the poet found some measure of release from such morbid entanglements.

Keep writing.
