Whispers From The Soul.

WHISPERS FROM THE SOUL…(©Peter Sprenkeler)

Amid the frenetic urgencies…and endless pressures,
Life hurtles by in a tumult and continual din.
Only in those priceless moments of rare tranquility,
Can we hear the whispers…of the soul so deep within.

Only at these times…can its gentle voice be heard,
For the soul recoils from all our noise and distraction.
Only when we are still…will we be able to notice the power,
And be captivated by its healing…and emotional interaction.

For we must be calm…listening intently,
For the soul is hushed when we are not still.
Only then will it speak…its soft pulse beating,
Only then will we hear…and experience the warming thrill.

Seems to me most are indeed deaf to their soul,
To their detriment…just never make the time.
For as beings of soul and spirit…not just body alone,
Surely measures as a great self-inflicted emotional crime.

For the soul is the inner identity…the real persona,
How we listen and heed…determines what in fact we will be.
And only on those occasions…when we pause to hear,
Will the inner eyes be opened…and God and truth be able to see.

For it speaks not in triflings…it speaks only of matters vital,
In gentle whispers of urgency…it will advise and softly plead.
For it has recognized…and agonizes over where you fail and err,
For your own completeness…on its counsel your humanity must feed.

A very well expressed poem... a little reminder hat our soul whispers if we will just take the time to hear it and what it has to say...
Great job... keep writing...
