Submit to Night

Contributed by EternalNight4x on Thursday, 18th November 2004 @ 02:44:26 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

My skin has lost it's color
going paler every day
The luster in my eyes
has already begun to fade
My eyes have become
endless desolate pools
Allowing apathy and loneliness
To dominate and rule
My once warm heart
has turned bitter cold
As I isolate myself
while sorrow siezes control
Found upon my fragile
ghost-white flesh
Are newly found scars
where blood had been bled
My whole body has
sumbitted to the night
The colors drained away from me
as I no longer see the light

The images in this poem are well-crafted. To
put it bluntly this is a rad poem so well written
and that line that described your eyes as
"endless desolate pools" was just brilliant. A
wonderful poem although I hope you don't
feel this tormented. Keep on writing.

It's a great poem, makes me feel so helpless and sad that i'm just like, a bystander here though, that i can't do anything (that i know of) to make you feel better. Depression is a horrible thing,
(believe me, I KNOW depression like the urm... back of my hand...) and i hope that you fight your way back to being the happy person you once were.... I know that to you life could never be happy again, but yeah, if there's anything I can do, let me know! But you probably know that already!

Your poetry is beautiful as is (I'm guessing) the girl who wrote it. Your light still shines thru the these words that you write. Like the sun coming up after a long dark night. But, then again no one knows how gorgeous darkness truely is.
Thanks for sharing it hope to read more.
