Ashes fall to the ground
As people begin to burn
Devastating lies foretold
By the innocence unheard of
Laughing in the face of our brutal enemy
He grins as blood
Gains its power over man
Making what’s left of the human race
Killers of their own kind

it almost has a cannabalistic feel to it, towards the end. i liked this poem, although depressing, at least it was true. It has been said that man has reached his peak, isn't that pathetic, this is our peak!!!!!!!! well if that's true there is only one place to go, down, if it's bad now imagine how much worse it will be!!!!!! thanks for the write and the thoughts. |

I enjoyed this poem a lot. I'm a firm believer that one poem can change the world. I may be wrong, but I think that is what you are trying to do with this poem. You capture the inhumanity of the human race so well. It actually reminded me of our beloved President George W. Maybe you should send it to him! It might do us all some good...Keep up the great work. You are extremely talented! |
