Monsoon rain with heavy downpour
Cleansing the earth
Refreshing and renewing soldiers
During break in patrolling
I take out a bar of soap
Strip off clothes and take a shower
In front of God and everyone
This is much better than some leech invested stream
How come the blood won't come off?

My guess is that you are/were bleeding, or this is somehow psychadelic/psychological.
Interesting poem, Doc. |

My guess is the blood is like a Macbeth moment. "Out damn spot, out!" Good poem. |
