I’ve written your name
Where the sun beats down on so many
And all have walked upon
It burns their feet to know what they’ve left behind
The same to my eyes to see you in such light
A body crashes against shore
Not yours, but as magnificent and beautiful
With temperatures that only rise
Like mine, seeing you for the first time
As we glisten like diamonds
In these reflections from our skin
And we bleed imperfections
But no one listens
I dive into you like the ocean
And freedom truly sings
Underneath these waves
I swim within you
Forever waiting for you to join me
