Embracing the Cold

Contributed by Diatribe on Wednesday, 17th November 2004 @ 02:06:41 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Why must I drive so far away from you
Each border I cross is one more step without you
as I dream of us together again
only awakened by the truth of our end
And I pretend this is for my own good
and to touch you again, oh I would
to hold you if only I could
but it drags me down deeper into this hole
further embracing the cold

I shed a tear over you
I shed so many tears for you and I
and only you can keep these eyes from crying
but I must leave you now

Now I'm here in this new landscape
and everything reminds me of your face
I am nothing here without you
How could love in this life be so cruel
And only your voice on the phone
could keep me from feeling alone
but that can only last for so long
until we fade away and we're gone

I shed a tear over you
I shed so many tears for you and I
and only you can keep these eyes from crying
but I must leave you now

Don’t shed a tear over me
Don’t shed a tear
Please let me go
Only you can make a better life
but I must leave you now

This was really good and wow..this just reminds me of some of my poems, but because of that I just have to ask, could these lyrics have a melody to them? Again, amazingly done I enjoyed it a lot!
