End of the War

Contributed by Tanmaya on Wednesday, 17th November 2004 @ 03:29:06 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

...in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
Romans 8:18-20

Even through the fiercest of storms,
When the red dust makes the eye dim,
The stars that know the way through,
Lie not in the sky’s embrace, but within.

In the shadows of the day, they patiently wait,
With calmness that can’t be mistaken for
Lack of strength, for in the dim embers, they
Wait only a while, then soar to scorch the skies.

And when the trembling hands of fear grow still,
The silver horses pulling dreams run free, with
Wild winds, in open fields that love to dance,
Leaving stardust on every path that they tread.

And days shining on fearless hearts shall come,
And words that bring healing shall be heard…
A King on the road leading to the end of the war,
And to the beginning of greater glory, shall come.

Songs of victory shall cover the broken, dying earth,
Like a perfect rain filling the cracked desert rim,
And what the dawn heralds each day, with the first
Beam of light breaking through the night…shall come.

A vivid and indeed inspiring read. It stirred the warrior spirit that lodges sporadically in this sometimes weary breast of mine. Beautiful work.

Aurë entúluva!

May it come soon. Again you've painted awesome pictures in my mind.
Take care.
