Topic: SadPoetry

Daddy wake up please open your eyes
please wake up so you can see the pretty blue skys
wake up daddy why are your hands so cold
here i'll pick them up and keep them in my warm hold

Hey daddy wake up so we can go play
daddy wake up it's the start of a new day
please wake up I want to hear your voice
why won't you wake up isn't it your choice

Daddy wake up I want somthing to eat
come on daddy wake up there's a restaurant across the street
wake up daddy a hug is all I need
daddy wake up why can't you hear my plea

wake up please daddy im starting to get scared
you would stop playing if you really did care
daddy wake up stop fooling around
daddy....your heart is not making a sound

..daddy....daddy wake up stop holding your breath
please daddy no...don't tell it's death
No DADDY this can't happen to you!!!
death...is something you never knew........

amazing poem! the heart of a child is always the most innocent loving thing I can ever think of. My best friend lost her dad when she was nine, he was really sick. This poem would make her cry, I'm sure. Great Write!!

Very emotional write, my heart goes out to anyone that has lost their dad at an early age. I'm so lucky to have mine, he is 90.

This resonates deep within my heart.... I lost my daddy too. This is touching, deeply touching... it well expresses the anguish, fear, and longing when you lose someone very close to you to death.
