Repetative, Painful Memories

Contributed by crash on Tuesday, 16th November 2004 @ 04:58:39 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I could see
there was more pain on the way
but with a wishful soul
I decided to stay

I thought if I showed you
the love within me
we'd get through this
and once again be happy

Was life with me
really that bad?
How was I to know
that I'd made you mad?

I gave you a ring
thought with it we'd be fine
but I never really saw us
I thought you were mine

I remember the look in your eyes
the first time we kissed
In our time apart
that look has been missed

You only asked one small thing
my habbit made you sick
but I kept on smoking
just to be a prick

As I write about us I smoke again
Without you I will never quit
You were my only motivation
to drop the light and go legit

I've got a bad mood
and alot of smoke
as I realize
I took you for a joke

We always fought
over my jealousy then my nicotiene
We had a few good times
though they were wedged inbetween

The choices I made
keep playing in my head
over and over again

I can't take this pain
It's killing me
over and over again

I pray for what used to be
before my darkness made you flee
I love you soo much
baby, I'm sorry!

I was i this same situation, but it was my drinking, not my smoking that ruined a loving relationship. I really feel this.
