Black feathered one of days gone by
The ghost who walks my skin
Creeps so near, yet still so far
Haunts the emptiness within
Crow flies as does the word of truth
Lifted by the winds of deceit
Carried to the depths of one
Who has tears so incomplete
For memory serves this one so well
As I remember the promise of times
I was layed upon the alter of he
Who has shattered this heart of mine
Unworthy it seems to be held in truth
A nothing to be left,as though dead
The crow flies the wind on his own terms
No matter the hearts he has tread
Hungry children bestowed a gift upon him
Gave of their selves with trust
The goodness of souls, not knowing the risks
For to trust such a crow, what a cost
Take yes he did, took from their hands
Then flew on and into the night
Leaving behind more hungry mouths
Snuffing from them,trusts light
