Fallen Angel

Contributed by _Raspberry_ on Tuesday, 16th November 2004 @ 03:05:57 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Eyes of Emerald and deepest gray
Fill with tears at my longing call
Last evening, he did soar with grace
This day, I shall help him fall

He is to be My Immortal
My Love I brought to Sin
I showered him with my kisses
I let him deep within

I never wished for him to suffer
Banished from his clouds of Gold
I watch now as they tear his wings
Before given chance to unfold

Now cast away from heavens light
In Eternal darkness he will stand
Pulled from all he thought he knew
For the touch of my own bloodied hand

I hold him close and help him learn
Of the new rhythm in his chest
He is now a living thing
Bleeding his tears onto my breast

Comforting him, crying for him
My hand traces along his spine
My fingers touching his winged wounds
Thickly covered in the colored wine

Now doomed to be a Mortal Man
He still has an Angel's face
Bound to his earthly pleasure
Forever fated to keep this pace

I have caused all his pain
I've been destruction since my birth
His eternity, His forever: Given
A Gift I hope I am Worth

Wow...that was beautiful. You made the poem flow so well, and the emotion was expressed very strongly. I'm impressed! Great Job!
