I always said,
If they can dream, then why can’t I,
Can’t I wish not to die?
Can I get more?
More time to spend?
More of everything before the end?
Why doesn’t my wish, ever come true?
Why can’t I get even a clue.
I asked for something, and I asked quite nice,
But it doesn’t seem to matter, And I even asked twice.
Does no one hear me? That I want more?
Doesn’t god know what I’m screaming for?
What is this pain that stabs my heart?
Why can’t I throw it away and rip it apart?
Can’t tears of sorrow turn to joy?
Can’t I create instead of destroy?
I thought I lived in a perfect halo,
With gold thats found at the end of the rainbow,
When will I die, and let this be over?
I have no luck, no four leaf clover.
Can’t the end be any faster?
I hate this game of pet and master.
But then I realized something,
that I had not realized before.
Because I had been to busy asking for more.
But now I understand life really isn’t this bad,
I wish I could have noticed, sooner than I had,
I see that my thoughts were really misled,
Because all this time,
I’ve really been dead.
