Another Day

Contributed by night_child on Tuesday, 16th November 2004 @ 12:41:37 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Like a flower
Frozen by winters cold snow
I have become numb

I hear your voice
It haunts my every dream
Reminding me of the times we used to laugh

But now the laughter fades
And I am left alone
To face this harsh reality
With a pain that's all too real

My candle burns lower
While lonely tears
Glide down my face
Like gentle snowflakes

You graced my life with your hugs
A friendship like ours can never die

I know now that
Like a bird set free
You soar above the sky
Nothing holding you back
You fly

Everynight,
You tell the stars
Just how beautiful they are

You feel no pain now
And everytime I smile
I'll know you're there

I am bound by my emotions
But I know you're happy
Knowing that will help me live again

Tomorrow is another day
So, my dear Kristen
Kiss the moon goodnight for me
And as I lay down to sleep
I will whisper 1000 times
I miss you

Excellent write! This sent chills down my spine. I can't even imagine losing a friend that barely even got a chance to live. I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. To be honest this makes me think twice about my being suicidal.
