Fool Happy

Today, I am fool happy I say to the clouds
they just float on there purposeful path
without a pause for reflection
as if my news is no shocking revelation to them
but it is to me,
news that is,
I call my mother to tell her I have meet somone new
someone wonderful,you,
the smile in my voice is light with love
her vocals response indicated doubt
with trace elements of here we go a again
mother tells me just don't be to fool happy,
Today, I am fool happy I mumble to myself
then suddenly I am motionless
standing absolutley still in the crowded cross walk
clutching the red and pink peonies you gave me
I realized I really don't mind a bit that I am
Fool Happy because of you.
