Rain

Contributed by luna_mica on Monday, 15th November 2004 @ 10:33:09 PM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

The rain falling from heavens face,
Like my tears from my own face.
Rain dropping all around me,
Splashing in apparent ecstacy.
Washing away the dust of days,
As my tears wash away the falacies
Of life, of love, and of happiness.
People leading happy lives,
They dont understand what I feel.
They consider me to be a retard,
Someone in need of isolation.
No one at all knows what I am feeling
Resentment, pity, sadness, depression.
I want to feel emotion,
Love, pain, anger. anything!
To let myself know that I am alive.
They cant see the dark that haunts me,
Follows me, eats me from the inside.
They dont see how much pain I am in
I need help, now I know that.
But no one can help me.
No one to love me, no one to help me.
So my only option left is death,
Or lack thereof.
I cant see how they say they love me.
Its a love of pity, not of pure love.
I hate myself, can anyone else love me truly?
Give me a sign so I can know something.
So cold, oh so cold. How dark it is!
Someone help me, light my path.
I cant see! only blindly being led to my end.
Im confused about life. About lies.
What is true and not? How can I tell?
Just help me please! I am pleading at your feet.
Why not? Please spare some time for me, a fool.
Help me. I need help.
The rain stops falling, the clouds close.
My tears fall shamelessly still.
Falling on the rose.
The rose that signified our love. And my life.

I love the last four lines:

My tears fall shamelessly still.
Falling on the rose.
The rose that signified our love.
And my life
