If you knew what your thoughts put me through,
the pain and searing anger within,
you might not be so fast to voice them.
If you knew how sad your looks make me feel,
like a dozen dead daisies,
you might turn your eyes the other way.
If you knew how loud your whispers echo
inside my head, my heart trembling,
you might take heed to quiet them.
If you knew what I'd do for one smile,
move mountains and swim the oceans,
you might try to be happier.
If you knew how soft your touch is,
wiping from my face these worries,
you might not hit me so hard.
If you knew how much you meant to me,
the stars and heaven couldn't compensate,
maybe you'd know how much I really love you.

| This Moved Me!! I have felt this way so many times in life in my childhood! I get the feeling it could be about a girl friend or boy friend or mom or dad!! Hmm... one thing i am sure of is that i'm not alone in this world with the way i feel inside!! Keep writing always!! ~D.$.~ |
