Daisy petals
Plucked one by one
And dropped without thought
To the ground
Where they lay, broken
Wilting
Wanting to be whole again
Whispered secrets
Pushed into the night
To dance about quietly, alone
In the dark
Where they cry, hushed
Lonely
Wanting to be heard again
Scattered thoughts
Picking themselves apart
To find answers, resolution
In the fog
Where they fail, hopeless
Swirling
Wanting to be known again
Until
The wind picks up
Sweeping through space and time
Driving consciousness out
Setting petals aloft
As whispers turn to echoes
And drive understanding
Like slanted rain
Into the ground

I am in awe.
I love the concept of this, and you did a wonderful job of creating a flow that brings the readerr to a moment...that moment...
when "The wind picks up"
It sweeps this reader up with those petals.
Awsome! |

Yes, this is lovely, and I see it as an exploration of growth and newness and maybe a bit of pruning.

I don't know what to say that has not already been said
Anyway I really liked these particular lines in the poem
Scattered thoughts
Picking themselves apart
To find answers, resolution
In the fog
Good stuff |

Entropy - its such a drag. "Things fall apart, string bags full of oranges and things within the heart" (Michael Leunig). A beautiful take on the longing to be whole again. I really hope it is like this.

Okay, by now, you probably think I'm a nut. Possibly over stating myself but I can't help that! It's all your fault you know. ;-) This is stunning, brilliant, and magic at work.
Continuing to find myself amazed.
Tim
