UNKNOWN

Topic: selfstruggles

Why is it I hide within
Rarely let others see who I really am
My own doubts don't make it clear
I too was created for Him

Bashfulness and shyness do abound
Truth be told, I also am a worthy soul
He created me with gifts to share
Gives me a chance to show I care
Perhaps I will feel I was lost, but found

Cheats you out of gifts He has given me
When I seclude them from your view
Pearl hidden on the bottom of the sea
Only has value when it is shared with thee
There must be a better way of liven

Truth will set you free
His light is the dawn of each new day
Another God given opportunity to serve
A chance to go all out, nothing in reserve
Work for your savior was meant to be

Sad but true and I would venture to say we hardly ever show our true selves to anyone. Too much pain and criticism to be found in that. But maybe being here and sharing a bit of ourselves with others is a step in the right direction

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
