Waking up in a haze, like a fog desended into my mind. The drugs are comforting but blinding.
The loniness is maddening. This battle I'm losing. The war is not looking promising. Laying in the trench I've made for myself, giving up hope. The dirt under my fingernails, dried mud on my face.
Gun to my head I pray for forgiveness...One motion, one tear runs down my cheek that you'll never see.
The enemy is me. My mind fights itself. I can't escape myself, Nothing keeps me from me.
The sky is painted a brillant grey and white. The sun is not shining and the rain keeps falling. No shelter, no place to hide. Alone I cry, but the tears mix with the falling drops and nobody notices the blood because it's washed away.
Alone I lay...
