I have forsaken you

You sit and watch from within your safety,
Never doing anything much to hasty.
You consider yourself so much better than your peers,
You really couldn’t care less about my tears.
There so relaxed whilst I’m on the brink,
You’re my insanity link.
You would quite happily push me over the edge,
Watch me falling further and further away from my sanity ledge.
Trying to pull me into your dense darkness of repression,
Making me want to scream my sinful confession.

Alas for you, you did realise I have become strong against you,
I no longer have the need to wallow and feel blue.
I’ve out grown the need to cut myself to pieces,
Just to satisfy your releases.
I am reborn much stronger,
The need for you is there no longer.
So be banished you evil little thing,
My heart no longer holds your aching.
You no longer possess my soul,
As I have found my way to become whole.
