Lost

Where is she now?
I've lost her long ago.
She's left us all
And hidden away
Never to return again.
She's scared and she's lost
Won't you bring her home?
Trace her path,
Follow the stages,
And put the clues together.
Go back through her depression
And wade through all her tears.
Here lies your daughter,
Lost in all her fears.
She's tried so hard to get out of this mess,
To dig herself out of this hole.
But she keeps falling deeper and deeper
Into a space she's never known.
This space, you see, has changed her,
Made her become something she's not.
Or maybe it's who she's been all along,
But something she was afraid to show.
You made it impossible for her to be herself,
It was something that you looked down upon.
So she became your little girl,
A child that did no wrong.
But in that instant you looked away,
Your daughter fell into the darkness.
She's lost her way
And she has no light,
No light to show her the way.
You turned away for but a moment,
But that's when everything changed.
It rocked your world
Because when she returned,
She had become your worst nightmare.
You let your daughter slip away,
No one's fault but your own.
So when she couldn't find the light,
She made her own and she found her own way
And tried to get to your heart.
But you shut her out, you closed the door
And your daughter fell once more.

So very sad. To shut one's own flesh out. No matter what she has done parent should love their children. But thats not always the case. Parents need to listen. They need to see the signs insted of pushing a child away who is lost in a tear. "Great write" You put so many feelings in it. Thanks for sharing. momentoftruth.

This is absolutely amazing, heartbreaking and hitting home with force. Astute write!
