Watching

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 15th November 2004 @ 01:57:55 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I feel like someone’s watching me,
I turn round but there’s nothing to see,
I can feel someone’s eyes burning my soul,
Like to unnerve me is there only goal.

Why is it me that they choose?
Is it my mind or body they wish to abuse?
Everywhere I go I know they come too,
I can feel them inside me moving right through.

I feel like a picture that is hung on show,
Things are following like a big, black crow,
They take cover in the shadows of night,
I am worried that trying to kill me they might.

My paranoia grows with my deep rooted fear,
For so long now I’ve failed to see clear,
I can not relax when I am being watched,
Having every single movement of mine clocked.

There are eyes & ears everywhere I can’t escape,
I feel bound to misery with invisible tape,
Those evil eyes will never stop & they will never leave,
They have all sorts of horrors hiding up their sleeves.

So very well expressed. This feeling of fear "Is someone watching me" Very well written. I think everyone has a fear of being stalked. Or watched. Maybe it's the mind of a poet with words that have to be shared.
