Dear Everyone

Contributed by EternalNight4x on Monday, 15th November 2004 @ 01:13:29 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Dear Everyone,
You’ve abandoned me, left me in the dust
Buried my body allowed me to rust
Oblivious to my emotions and how I truly feel
The way my mind works, hot I think that nothings real
You all claim to know me, inside and out
Whether you really do is something that I doubt
You never take the rime to listen to my words
Isolated from the rest I’m a stray sheep form the herd
I’m a last resort, the girl you come to last
Deleted from your memory I’m someone form the past
One glance at me and you think that all is fine
You feel for my fake happiness like all the previous times
One thorough look into my austere eyes
And you would find my whole life’s been a lie
All that you would see is the gathered angst and pain
That all feelings of joy have drained just like my veins
If you took a careful look into my fragile skin
You would notice all the scars created by my sins
My life runs deeper then I allow you to see
If you took a closer look you would see the actual me

Very pointed, vulnerable write. I like this a lot. Tiffany J. (Red_October)

Exactly how I feel right now. Like, do they even care? It's so depressing, I wish I could offer you words of comfort Dev, but really, I'm in the same boat as you.

Dear teen Angstress:

I'd like to thank you, first, for the little lesson in lugubriosity. It seems we can never give too many a lecture on the ways of woe, mixed in with some good old-fashioned rhymes that are probably so old they'd fall off faster than my grandfather's wisdom teeth. Antediluvian anthologies are fine, of course; who hasn't done a little dismal thing every now and then?

In thanks, of course, I'd like to point out what it is that makes your poem so special. What's so distinct about this poem is that...it's not. Everything about it just echoes like it's been written somewhere else! Which is no small feat, I assure you; I almost wrote the exact same sort of thing myself when I was your age. Unfortunately, I had a other things...like a life. We're like, psychic or something!

You write trite. We all go through that phase sooner or later, so I won't say anymore about it. Friends are made, not waited for. Connections are two hearts reaching out for each other, not a one-way street. You will find friends, I'm sure, and a great way of expressing your self. Creativity is there. Just give it some time, and save this sort of thing for your own little scrapbooks.

The Wordslayer,
~AcrosticCacophany
