40 miles and 1,000 "Im sorry's" couldn't bring us closer. We are sour and sweet and sick of "I love you's" Atleast that is what I told her. Tasteless and terrible at "goodbye's" we are walking incognito we are covering our eyes. Red after Red after Red after Blue. So hold it against me for caring too much, a smile a kiss a featherlike touch, from: the one you could never bear to love, to: the one who couldn't care enough. Delicate as daggers we dance around words counting the seconds and turning our heads. Holding our breath and fighting back tears walking incognito saves us from sharing our fears. Years after Years and we find our selves here, holding our breath and fighting back tears. I wish I could love you more like they do. Red after Red after Red after Blue. Always leaving me wanting more, always with doubt and never quite sure, whether tomorrow holds daggers or tomorrow holds cures. Holding my breath, and fighting back tears, I am dressed incognito to cover my fears. To mask the drama of getting "too close", pass through the familiar and dash off to the coast. Like gypsies we danced like fireflies in the night, counting the seconds making sure it's just right. In this off and on trial of let's give and take. We can't show our cards, because lives are at stake. We can't show our cards, because honor is on the plate, and integrity has come far too late. Delicate as daggers we dance around words, counting the seconds and turning our heads. Holding our breath and fighting back tears, dressed incognito we cover our fears.

Wow, this is truly amazing! I had my doubts at first admittedly, I don't usually like to read poems set out like this but I'm really glad I did. Excellent write :o)

That was enchanting. The relief of the repeated line was gorgeos.
It gave the poem what it needed to be perfect. |
