The rain pours down
runs off my face
and soaks my clothes
Continues to the ground
fills the puddles
and soaks my toes
Vehicles speed by
giving advice
and wishing me luck
Don't they see I'm hopeless
going nowhere
and stuck?
So I continue, a drifter
side of the road
thumb extended
Another car passes
I think it's you
or atleast pretended
I continue walking
I can turn my back
I'm a person too
But I see another
over the horizon
I hope it's you

Wow, this was really awesome! I love the way it was written and the idea behind it was so creative. It's not like most love poems I've read! Great job!

Well JustJonesy, I travelled to your page cause a certain favorite horror writer of mine had a Jonesy in one of his books and the character just stuck. I came to see your character. What I found hear was a man of the heart. You are JustSimplyWonderful.
