I'll never be mistaken
For someone really beautiful.
The girls say they are taken
By someone rich and powerful.
I'm just a big nobody
Who has nowhere to go to.
You're my only somebody
But I've got nothing to show you.
I've become so out of it
That I just space out all the time.
My idea bulb is dimly lit
And I'm asleep from ten to nine.
Life is just one pointless bore
Without a rhyme or a reason
It even feels like such a chore
To watch the changing seasons.
My apathy is killing me,
Choking out my weakened soul.
The empathy is still in me,
Preventing me from being whole.
I need to change, be stronger
And wake up from this vision.
Please stay with me longer
Until I make my decision.

I really like the poem. Though I think it needs a little help making it flow better.

While every care is taken to ensure the general sites content is family safe, our moderators cannot be in all places; all the time. Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
