The Note of Forfeit

Contributed by GurlyGirl on Sunday, 14th November 2004 @ 03:40:37 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

If you're reading this it is too late
My body's on the floor
Your selfish lies have sealed my fate
Just open up my door
Can't you see me in my bedroom
With the blood across my face
I'm lying in my hollow tomb
My chilling stare you can't erase
Your fingers graze my forhead
My skin is cold as ice
The stench you smell is horrid
Your stomache wretches twice
My face is cut and mangled
My heart is stabbed clear through
My hair's blood soaked and tangled
But my eyes still stare at you
You can see their pained expression
As they stare blankly ahead
Now you hear my true confession
Of the reason I am dead
You drove me clear to madness
A siren straight from Hell
You failed to see my sadness
As I tripped and then I fell
It's your fault that I am bloody
Your fault that I am dead
You are the damn Somebody
Who got inside my head
So maybe I can't take it
Maybe I will scream
My mind will take the forfeit
Pass it off as just a dream
The hacking gnawing on my heart
Is worse than death by far
And so my defence falls apart
While all my cuts begin to scar
My words will haunt the paper
My thoughts etched into time
I'll force you to think deeper
Remind you of the evil crime
And though I'm gone, remember me
This girl, you broke her heart
Think of the things I'll never see
Because you made me fall apart
They'll bury me deep in the ground
To just forget instead
You'll never hear me make a sound
Because now I am dead
Maybe you'll feel sorry when
You see the flowers on my grave
Maybe you will realize then
My soul just wanted to be saved

Great title.

Probably something you are
really feeling.
I hope you will find an inner strength.
I know I am still trying to strengthen mine.
