Through pain and sadness
And the chill of darkness
Her shadow walks past,
Walking a little too fast,
Fast enough to be outside my reach.
Who would have thought
My heart would be caught
In this trap once again
And love would have nothing to gain
From this romance.
Who would have thought, more so,
That she was just a passer-by,
Just another morsel
That now bids me goodbye.
