Thinking

Topic: DarkPoetry

Moonless night
Sit - Stare at the wall
It doesn’t look back
Drifting downstream
Dark current drags me down
Bruised by the rocks on the way
Alone, My cries echo loud
Yet I can't hear a sound
Look at the ceiling from my bed
Might as well be my coffin
The room, the funeral plot
The door, the cemetery gates
The silence, the absent cortege
Mirror only one to stare at me
Showing its same empty image
That figure of despair
Hate personified in first person
So easy to make it go away
Slit of wrist, noose a twist
Mind saturated to bursting point
Thoughts at what I have missed
Things others have ten fold
I close my eyes, the wall
Sighs relief. Even bricks
Are against me
