long walk to forever

Contributed by cooley27 on Sunday, 14th November 2004 @ 05:11:30 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

we would run through the orchard
sit under the trees
look up at the stars
and feeling so free
as time passes by
we drift away
we drift so far
but never do we stray
the day had come
we had to be
but what i had come across
isnt what i wanted to see
she was soon to be married
i didnt know what to say
i could barley breath
the feelings start to fade
...walk with me
take me by the hand
can we talk?
i just cant stand..
my voice got groggy
my words were unclear
i tried to spit them out
but thats not what she wanted to hear
i told her i love her
as her heart hit the ground
the tears began to fall
the love she had
couldnt be found
i kissed her once
and she turned away
i kissed her again
and begged her to stay
please will u sit
and dream upon the stars
look into my eyes
and see what was ours
he began to walk away
and the distance grew
as she fell to her knees
and said i love you
and there he stopped
as she started to run
he met her half way
this isnt done
please will u stay?
as he turned and held her close
she continued to cry
there love was found
and they day passed by

I loved the whole feel of this as well as the title.

I read it twice and found such harmony in reading it.

Thank you for sharing this...

Kie
