Immortal Shadows

Contributed by adsalamon on Thursday, 21st November 2002 @ 08:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Immortal shadows; never die
Don’t give into the strength of light
Blanket me with your comfort
Keep me safe now; Hide me away

Bitter tears line featureless face
Cascading torrent shows no fear
Your source, the fountain of pain
Etched deep with the caverns of me

Darkness come, enshroud me tight
Alone, for all time eternally
A lost being floating further away
Until death will take me over

Everything is death; death is all
Even the most beautiful rose must decay
Whither away, grounded to dust
The soul disperse, conquered, the black hole

Immortal shadow, never fail me
Stay with me all through this night
Smother me, take me; don’t wake me
Keep me in my incubating state

Light breaks in, bruise the skin
Shows the rot, decay; putrefaction
Pale and destroyed, falling to pieces
Mind so numb, body is aching

Markings like ancient rune stones
Show the symbols of the night
Like carved rock yet only me
No hiding, too bright is the sun

Yearning for the fresh decay
When light fades, its purple glow
Then I ‘m reunited; the shadows oh dance
Hide me, disappear, feel something again
