Crimson Violin Melody

I play a melody, sad and soft,
across my scarred wrists.
My blade is my bow, smoothly gliding,
producing a sweet crimson song.
My melody soars through the air,
filling it with its sweet notes.
My bow moves like lightning,
as the songs tempo increases.
It is fueled by hatred and sadness,
as the blade tears my flesh to ribbons.
Softly, slowly, movement subsides,
as the last fading notes, echo in the darkness.

I was drawn to the title because I love musical instruments. This is one of the most stark and powerful poems I have read in a long, long time. I never thought of a violin and the bow in a self inflicted sort of pain way.
This one got to me...
