From Dusk To Dawn

Contributed by xafflictedx on Saturday, 13th November 2004 @ 01:32:35 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

Dancing in the moonlit streets
With the pleasure of my own company.
The haunting melody of isolation
Fills my ears, and leads to tears
Running down my cheek.
Loneliness lingers in the
Depths of my heart and
At the front of my mind.
As a light rain begins to trickle,
It tricks me into a false hope
Of my heart's reawakening.
Time will never let me settle
As long as hope dwindles.
So I watch another sunrise
Burn away my hopes and fears.
Could today be that day?

Wow, what a beautiful and amazing poem. I could really feel the emotion pouring out of you, see it. I can't think of any words that could do justice to this poem.... It was simply beautiful and breathtaking. Take care!
