solitary existence
why am i outside alone
something screams in the distance
another light left out to roam
it seems to call to nobody
just a whisper, just a dream
woke up out in the lobby
why won't you let me sleep?
you've gotta go back home now
you've gotta catch that plane
you wouldn't want to be stuck here
they might erase your brain
you can sit in the front up here all alone
or you can sit in the back and dream of a road
that follows you until you're half way home
you can sit in your car blind by the sun
you can wish for a place where all is undone
you might find that heaven's on the run
