The room is empty,
Nothing but tinkling music,
Flowing sweetly to my ears...
Beethoven, 1st Mvt. From Moonlight Sonata, No. 14...
I am lost between the melancholic notes of the great composer,
Relishing the emotion music evokes in me...
Like a dream,
She appeared there,
Gliding on the floor...
Elegant legs swiftly moving,
Body swaying rhythmically with the sound...
Totally enraptured by this beauty,
This enchanting dance...
Eyes cast down,
Lips, a sorrowful line...
One with the music,
Face masked with a hurt look,
Emotions leaking out...
Everything is revealed,
Through the sway of her arms,
A leap through the air...
For a fragment of a moment,
She is flying...
A smile of release plays across her fine lips...
She descends,
Falling, and finally hitting solid ground...
She tells her story,
Weaving her morbid tale,
Flowing smoothly across the floor on the tips of her toes...
Tears are being shed,
How I wish to wipe them away...
Cast her pain and sorrow far off, in a distant land...
Graceful in every step,
In every glide, in every leap...
She shall dance forever in my dreams,
My current Muse...
Wrapped in morbid splendor,
She speaks of my life,
This wretched existence...
Lonely... Hurt... Sorrowful...
I weep with her,
Our tears joining,
Our souls fully exposed...
The beautiful ballerina gazes in the mirror,
And discovers a spark of hope,
Glimmering in her eyes...
The song is finished,
Beethoven has died...
However, she now dances a waltz of a new life,
Of new things to come...
Of a beautiful love...
She is blissful, though maybe for a fleeting moment...
Precious ballerina that whispers of life and love so melodiously,
Dance forevermore...
Tears still stream down my cheeks,
For I have realized, that that ballerina.....
Is me...

Feelings and emotions woven into a beautiful work of art. There seemed to be a rhythum that kept building into a creshendo .... all that tell a story.
A beautifull poem

Elegant and so beautiful. Once again your words make me feel such emotions. Tears slowly fall from my eyes, as I could see myself there with you.
I have a friend who is a professional ice skater and I love to go and watch him perform such beauty.
A million gold stars for this magnificent write

The movement of the song may be over ... but the the final act has yet to come. Many more dances lie before you. Much happiness I wish your way. Tears of joy to replace those of suffering. Dance on, precious petite fleur ... dance on.

I like all of the layers in this poem.
First There is the layer of the ballerina dancing.
Gliding on the floor...
Elegant legs swiftly moving,
Body swaying rhythmically with the sound...
Totally enraptured by this beauty,
This enchanting dance...
Then the next layer is all of the emotions she is expressing.
Eyes cast down,
Lips, a sorrowful line...
One with the music,
Face masked with a hurt look,
Emotions leaking out...
Everything is revealed,
Through the sway of her arms,
A leap through the air...
For a fragment of a moment,
She is flying...
A smile of release plays across her fine lips...
I like how you expressed that she is feeling hurt, but at the same time the dance is a release for her, and for a fragment of a moment, as you said, she is flying. That's great. It probably is a good metaphore for your experience in life, which leads into the third layer, which is that you are the ballerina.
I felt like this was a very creative poem, and I enjoyed it very much.
Be True,
