My Friend Nameless

Contributed by silent_tears on Friday, 12th November 2004 @ 01:12:50 PM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

The painful ring of my alarm clock
Sounds of at seven each morning. I roll out of bed
Stand up, and notice I'm missing a sock.
I dread getting ready and despise going to school.
Depression seems to govern my day.
So I find my friend nameless
And here is what I say:
" I need something to numb my pain,
Something to make me forget. Nicotine and tar
Won't do the trick, what I need
Is much stronger, I need a bar"
I think to myself that it won't fix
My problem, but at least
It will postpone my pain and I'll get a kick.
My life is spiraling down, I can't handle
This anymore, I feel like i'm going to drown.
All day long, no smile,
Only habitual frowns.
Suicidal thoughts cross my mind
But by the next day
I've forgotten the last
So again the cycle starts and all I have to say
Is "where is my friend nameless and what can
He get for me today?"

NICELY WRITEN Each of us choose differnt ways of ending our pain. Some with drugs others cut the pain away. Some write there words. I believe I know it helps for me to write my thoughts for all to see. You express yourself very well with the words you write may you be able to find the lightand break this cycle of your life. Best wishes "silent_tears"
